The food is very good and the service is good. This place is close to home so we do enjoy having a place nearby that has food, service and ambiance in one place. When we get company this is a place we take them to. Great place.
Try it. The food is fantastic and fresh. It is very good Latin food. The mofungo was to die for. Come hungry it's a ton of food.
We keep going to this place , service is not like before , is not bad but nothing out of this world , order churrasco , was a bit hard but not bad , arros mampostero good , husband had pescado a lo macho n he said it was great , service was so so , will go back
We stopped by this place as it was on the road back to our destination and we were hungry. I looked up restaurants on Yelp and this place came up. The one review gave me hope. It's an odd little place. There is no theming to the restaurant. However when we walked in, it was busy. Looks like many locals with their families. I did check out the bath room and it was large and clean. When we sat down we were given a basket of chips and salsa. The salsa was okay, I would say it's more of a tomato sauce based salsa, again it was just ok. Our server I could tell didn't speak much English. She had to get someone else to assist with our questions. My husband ordered the shrimp with a side of rice and beans and I ordered the skirt steak with mushroom sauce. My husband said the shrimp were cooked well, the creole sauce was odd, he said the beans were phenomenal. The steak was cooked well, potato was good. Had I known the mushroom sauce was more of an Alfredo style sauce, I would have skipped it. Our server only came back to the table when we were done eating. Our bill was $45. My hubby ordered one beer and I had water.
Another family outing finds us visiting El Criollo! We stopped in because we heard they had good Puerto Rican food. Much to my dismay they did not have arroz con gandules(rice and pigeon peas). Never the less I ordered their chicken with mushroom sauce with Mamposteado(seasoned yellow rice with beans and sofrito) very delicious and did not disappoint. Wifey had Chicharron De Pollo (fried chicken chunks) we were not impressed with this dish as there were a lot of bones to pick through, however the Trifongo was good. Our waitress was friendly but she took a short break while we were looking to have our drinks refilled. I would visit again to try the Mofongo Dishes as they do look tasty.
